Carianne, also known as Peggy, is 25 years old and was born and raised in South Florida. She loves creating, photographing and creative directing.Carianne, can you tell me about your first interests in art and photography?
“I’ve been interested in photography for as long as I can remember. I’ve been in front of the camera since I was a kid, I modeled when I was little and got back into it when I started college. I always enjoyed being in front of or behind the camera.”What is integral to your work?
“I think the fact that I’m a female film photographer is pretty rare. I strictly shoot film – I think that says something for itself.” Who or what influenced the development of your style?
“David Lynch is a huge inspiration of mine! I feel I constantly am saying this everywhere, but Twin Peaks heavily influences my work. I’m also super inspired by the 70’s-90’s. Film kinda transports you back in time. I love that about shooting film.” What was a memorable moment in your creative journey?
“A memorable moment was making a gaggle of my favorite photographers become my models for Polaroid’s upcoming summer film launch. I absolutely love having people who usually aren’t in front of the camera twist around and become the models.”For more of her beautiful work, you can follow Carianne on Instagram.
